Sitting on a garden chair
In the crisp night air
With binoculars in hand
I look to the sky

The moon, like a creamy round pearl
A beautiful jewel for one and all
Like a wise old eye
Looking down on the world
From its box seat on high

One sun
One planet earth
One home for everyone

Now the Earth is casting its shadow on the moon,
Now there’ is darkness
And now there is a magnificent glowing red hue
And in that shadow is everyone and everything we know
On one planet
In the night sky
What a spectacular show

One moon
One sun
One planet Earth
One home
