Description
Five long years of IVF,
An illness that took me to the brink of death,
Saved by some angels,
Saved by some angels.
My Baby held on tight for a bumpy ride,
It was a long dark night,
As a bushfire raged inside ,
Saved by some angels,
Saved by some angels.
I’d spent most of my days sitting on the throne,
That red red river never ceased to flow,
I was skin and bone,
Saved by some angels,
Saved by some angels.
The prognosis was grim, almost gave up hope,
I was way too thin my darling couldn’t grow,
When an angel called,
I was off to Hospital.
A crucifix looked down from high on the Wall,
On the colorectal ward,
This inflammatory bowel disease
Had Brought me to my knees,
I prayed that everything would be ok.
Thanks to the wonders of modern medicine,
Amazing doctors and Nurses,
Their healing hands ,
Their dedication , medication,
And later cutting edge surgery,
Made my illness distant history.
My sunshine,
When you were born,
It was a new dawn,
It was the end of that long dark night,
The sun shone down and the world turned bright!
You have always been as cute as punch and bright as a button,
When you took that bottle of milk like a duck to water I knew you would be fine,
You are my angel,
My angel divine.
Thank you to to all the angels who lifted us up when the chips were down,
took us under your wings and turned our luck around,
Saved by some angels,
Saved by some angels.
Sunshine,
Every day since you’ve been our lives,
Your halo has been dazzlingly bright,
Our hearts are bursting with love,
Thanks to the heavens above.
Watching you grow is wonderful,
Everything you say and do is amazing,
And I pray that as you go through life,
In good times and in times of strife,
Be true to yourself and don’t follow like a sheep,
Remember how strong you always have been,
And fly high,
You are an angel,
You are an angel.
Sunshine,
When you were born
It was a new dawn,
It was the end of that long dark night,
The sun shone down and the world turned bright,
You have always been as cute as punch and bright as a button,
When I see the beautiful young man you are
I know you’ll be fine,
You are my angel,
My angel divine.
