Where the sun shines on calm blue waters,
Where gentle waves lick granite rocks,
Where birds soar high in to infinity,
That’s where peace lives in my heart.
The word forgiveness crossed my mind today ( can I forgive you ?)
A knot welled in my throat
I wanted to choke ( no no no no)
How can I just turn the other cheek and say,
“Hit the other one if you like that’s ok?”
When truth peace justice and love have gone up in smoke ( you’re asking the impossible)
What good is money if you haven’t got love? ( what good is money ?)
What good is friendship if you’re not loyal ?( what good’s your friendship ?)
What good is life when you deny yourself the spark ? ( life without a spark)
What good is blood if its cold ?( cold blood)

The concept of revenge haunted me today, ( sweet, sweet revenge)
My heart hammered hard as it yearned for sweet justice to make you pay,
For the wounds you have inflicted for no reason at all,
Which have festered for far too long,
But I don’t want bitterness to be my song (what goes around comes around)
What good are riches if your spirit is broke? ( you are bankrupt)
What good is vision if you close your eyes? ( you live in the dark)
What good’s the truth when it’s shrouded in smoke? ( you may as well live a lie)
What good is intelligence if you’re not wise? ( not wise)

Where the gentle waves lick the stains of betrayal away,
